Kestrel Park

The Kestrel Park works were undertaken with our parent company Vita Play. The project involved the installation of robinia play equipment and complete groundworks.

To keep in theme with robinias natural look we elected to use a mixture of Rhyno Mulch, turf and grass mats. We wanted Kestrel Park to reproduce the dynamic playscapes of the natural environment in a safe setting. Now more than ever are we aware of the benefits of connecting with nature for both mental and physical well being. We recognise that access to the outdoors has been severely diminished over the last few years which is why we want our surfacing to help children reconnect with nature.

Children’s direct experiences within nature helps shape their environmental identity and can guide their environmental actions and behaviour. Specifically, natural environments in early childhood education can instil both familiarity with nature and a sense of overall well being.

Through careful construction and design Kestrel Park simulates a natural playscape; promoting imaginative play, developing motor skills and allowing lifelong friendships to flourish.
